Moshe Safdie

I'm starting to enjoy reading about architects and how they derive their vision for buildings. I am woefully underinformed. The New Yorker has an interesting article (unfortunately not online) about Moshe Safdie, whom I'd never heard of before, but whose philosophy of design (to paraphrase: "Nothing that isn't functional can be beautiful") matches up well with interaction design.
