This week’s random thought: Why not create a set of circular bumper stickers that display the miles per gallon (MPG) that a car gets? People with high MPG can wear them proudly on their cars. They could also be placed on cars of shame, to raise awareness that driving them is wasteful.
Or a KML (kilometres per litre) for those countries using the metric system?! Love the idea – I also wish they’d have compulsory ratings for those of us buying new and used cars – it’s hard to find this info even on the net!
Nice idea. It’s a more positive version of the “I’m Changing the Climate, Ask Me How” bumper stickers from a few year ago. http://web.archive.org/web/20021203022852/www.changingtheclimate.com/stillimages.html
Great idea – where can I get one?
Folks could adorn their rides with them almost like a status symbol. Kinda like those damn ubiquitous Black Dog logos (so last year)…
Sorry if this becomes a duplicate post, first time didn’t seem to work.
In that cars of shame list, don’t forget the gas guzzling Porsche, Jag, BMW, Audi etc. folks that litter the streets of the Bay Area.
I’d also add that anyone who thinks that s/he can change the climate are quite simply laughable. 😉
More than one of us has a license plate frame on our motorbike touting our high MPG:
